Everything was prepared. What happened was different:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>spiritual intercession.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jajamim explained:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Moses perceived that the lack of manifestation can be interpreted as a rejection of Aaron.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both are entering to pray.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only then descends the divine fire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This episode establishes an essential principle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>holiness does not only depend on the system, but the merit of the tzaddik.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zejut tzaddikim: the channel the divine presence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The concept of <strong>zejut tzaddikim<\/strong> (merit of the righteous) is central in the rabbinic tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Talmud teaches:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe prayer of the righteous produces an effect.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not an idea-symbolic, but structural:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The tzaddik is not only zarah<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Talmud presents several dimensions of the error:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interpretations rabbinical<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eruv\u00edn 63a<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They ruled a law without talking to Moses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sanhedrin 52a<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduced a practice not neat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Came beyond the allowed limit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the proximity with the prohibition of wine (Leviticus 10:9) suggests a possible lack of spiritual clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It was not rebellion, but a wrong approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ramban explains that the sin was not simple disobedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was something more profound:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>an attempt to approach to God outside of the established framework.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The problem was not the desire for connection, but the way in which it is expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tried to activate the divine on their own initiative, without the appropriate channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Two models of spirituality in Shemin\u00ed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The torah portion presents a light contrast:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moses and Aaron<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Intercede<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Align with the divine will<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act with humility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Channel the divine presence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nadav and Avih\u00fa<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Acting on their own initiative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improvise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approach without limits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try to generate the divine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is convincing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The divine fire can be a blessing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>But it can also be on trial when they are used incorrectly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The central principle of holiness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Leviticus 11:44 synthesizes the message:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cYou must be holy because I am holy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In judaism, the holiness is not spontaneous nor subjective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Implies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discipline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obedience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awareness of limits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And, above all:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>dependence on the correct channel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion: the lesson of Shemin\u00ed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The message of Shemin\u00ed is clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mishk\u00e1n can be perfectly built...<br>but without <strong>zejut tzaddikim<\/strong>, there is no manifestation of the divine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moses and Aaron are not added anything new.<br>No changes to the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It became a proper channel.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nadav and Avih\u00fa, instead, to replace that channel through personal initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And therein lies the core of the parasha:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spirituality does not invented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not be improvised<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not force<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Is received when there is correct
