Authoring and drafting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The compilation of the Mishnah was undertaken by <strong>Rabbi Yehuda Hanassi<\/strong> (Judah the Prince) towards the end of the second century of our era, in the region of Galilee. In a context of dispersion, roman persecution and social transformation, Yehuda Hanassi collected and systematized the vast oral tradition which until then was transmitted from memory. His work was not to create new laws, but <strong>select, sort, and unify<\/strong> opinions and previous discussions, especially those of the schools of Hillel and Shamai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although its final edition, is attributed to him, the Mishnah maintains diversity of voices, styles and positions. Structure and content<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mishnah is organized in <strong>six orders<\/strong> (<em>Sedarim<\/em>), subdivided into <strong>63 treaties<\/strong> (<em>Masejtot<\/em>), which in turn are divided into chapters (<em>Perakim<\/em>) and teachings brief (<em>Mishnayot<\/em>). Each order addresses an area of life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Zeraim (Seeds):<\/strong> agricultural laws and blessings.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Moed (Festivity):<\/strong> the calendar, Shabbat and holidays.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nashim (Women's):<\/strong> marriage, divorce, and votes.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nezikin (Damages):<\/strong> civil, criminal, and ethical.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kodashim (Holy):<\/strong> sacrifices and service of the Temple.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tohorot (Purities):<\/strong> ritual purity and the laws of impurity.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>This structure reflects a total vision of human life: from the everyday to the sacred, everything can and should be regulated by the divine law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Method and style<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mishnah takes a <strong>concise language and technical<\/strong>almost legal, which ignores arguments extensive or narratives. His method is dialectical: it presents <strong>discussions, disagreements, and variants<\/strong> without forcing a single conclusion. The authority is not imposed; it is built in the debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This style reflects a deep cultural change: the centrality because it is not in the Temple or sacrifice, but in the <strong>word<\/strong> and the <strong>study<\/strong> as acts of worship. The Beit Midrash (house of study) replaces the altar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Relationship with the Talmud<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mishnah, constitutes the <strong>core of the Talmud<\/strong>. On it are built the extensive comments and discussions later called <strong>Gemara<\/strong>developed in the academies of Babylon and Eretz Israel between the ages III and VI. There are, therefore, two versions of the Talmud: the <strong>Jerusalem<\/strong> (<em>Talmud Yerushalmi<\/em>) and <strong>Babylon<\/strong> (<em>Talmud Bavl\u00ed<\/em>), the latter being the most comprehensive and influential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, the Mishnah is the Talmud that the axioms are to science: the starting point for the expansion interpretative infinite of the rabbinic tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6.
