The gemara in <strong>Berachot 30a\u2013b<\/strong> clarifies these points, and sets the framework halachic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3) Reading talmudic (Berachot 30a\u2013b)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Gemara<\/strong> he explains that the apparent overlap between the \u201cTanna Kamma\u201d (the Wise men) and R. Yehuda in the name of REbA<\/strong>: <strong>you are not exempt<\/strong>; <strong>must<\/strong> pray Mussaf <strong>only<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Case 2 \u2013 Yes there is <em>\u1e25\u00e9ver go<\/em><\/strong>:<br>\u2014 According to <strong>R. Yehuda in the name of REbA<\/strong>, the <strong>an individual may be exempted<\/strong> on the basis of the <strong>officiant<\/strong> (it is listening and responding to).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gemara in addition <strong>dictated by the halachah<\/strong> as <strong>R. The common approach is that <strong>like<\/strong> each one says the <em>Amid\u00e1<\/em> silent Mussaf, and <strong>no<\/strong> depend on the officiant, unless is necessary.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5) practical Implications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Place without a minyan (travel, isolated area):<\/strong><br>\u2014 <strong>Required<\/strong> to pray Mussaf <strong>individually<\/strong>. Time: \u201c<strong>all day<\/strong>\u201d (preferential until seventh hour according to R. Yehuda), but the sooner the better.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Place with minyan:<\/strong><br>\u2014 Option A (general custom): <strong>pray Mussaf single (silent)<\/strong> and then listen to the <strong>repeat<\/strong>.<br>\u2014 Option B (classic halachic): <strong>intention to leave<\/strong> with the <strong>officiant<\/strong> (especially for the one who does not pray), and responding correctly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conflict of priorities (Minchah vs. Musaf late):<\/strong><br>\u2014 The sugui\u00e1 is also <strong>schedules<\/strong> related; there are rules about what to say first if you accumulate tefilot (in general, <strong>Minchah<\/strong> preceded by \u201cmost common\u201d, even R.
